State Scholarship Applications

AgStar Fund for Rural America
  • Applicants must be a high school senior, have a GPA of 3.0 or better, have a designated major or interest in an ag.-related field, or have an ag. or rural background.
  • Applicants are selected based on academic achievement, leadership characteristics and community involvement.  Special considerations will be given to children of parents who are clients of AgStar Financial Services, ACA. 
  • Immediate family members of AgStar employees or board members are not eligible to apply.

Minnesota Athletes in Sports Medicine Scholarships

  • Two $2500.00 scholarships are available and will be awarded to one male and one female student athlete who intend to pursue a professional career in sports medicine.
  • Qualified candidates should demonstrate leadership, be actively involved in their community and interscholastic sports (4 years of participation minimum) and achieve academic success.
  • Applications available in the Counselor’s office
  • Application Deadline: May 1, 2012

Minnesota Women's Golf Association (MWGA) Foundation Scholarship

  • Female applicants must have a grade point average of 3.2 or above, and a copy of the submitted FAFSA form must be included showing the parents income level for the last year.
  • The $12,000 ($3,000 per year for four consecutive years) is awarded on the basis of scholastic rating, financial need,, and school achievements, leadership, and activities.  Although skill or excellence in the game of golf is not a criterion, candidates shall demonstrate and interest or involvement in the sport.

New Ulm Area Sport Fisherman EE Mecklenburg Environmental Scholarship

  • Scholarships available for qualified students planning a career in the environmental field and intend to enroll in an accredited two or four year college or university during the Fall term following your high school graduation.
  • Applications are available in the Counselor’s office.
  • Application Deadline: April 2, 2012


Reuben Youngerberg Memorial Biodiesel Essay Scholarship (formerly the Clean Air Choice Scholarship)

  • Current high school seniors in the state of Minnesota with plans to attend postsecondary education are eligible to submit a brief (1,000 words or less) essay on the topic of biodiesel.
  • Two scholarships will be awarded.  The first place essay writer will receive a $1,600 scholarship; the second place essay writer will receive a $500 scholarship.              
  • Applications are available at or in the Counselor’s office
  • All essays and application materials must be submitted to the American Lung Association in Minnesota by 4:30pm on Friday, March 30, 2012
